I digress...
As you know I've done my time on a therapy couch & in another 12 Step group. I can unequivocally tell you that once you begin to tell your, true, authentic story (warts & all) out loud to another objective, compassionate human being, it is the most cathartic, caring thing you will ever do for yourself. And I mean telling your real story. All the sh!tty sh!t that ever happened to you version. Not the "there's always someone worse than me" version.
Then the real fun begins!
Because not only do you have to do it in the first place you have to sit in all the feelings that come crashing down after. And if you thought telling the story was cathartic, oh honey. Just wait.
I think Pity Party, party of 1, you're table's just about ready.
We're here beside you every step of the way.
