Weekend Warrior now sober and PAW
Weekend Warrior now sober and PAW
A week and 1 day so far and no plans on ever going back to that amount. Former weekend warrior who binge drank two nights a week. After a couple days I have PAW. Real bad, I went to urgent care, got an EKG and such, was fine but was told that even a "weekend warrior" AKA "Poor excuse to justify binge drinking" would still get these issues.
So drinking two nights a week very heavy, then quitting, after a couple days of my body not getting it's weekly fix, this happens? TYVM
Oh and hi, I am Ratso. :P

Hi Ratzo
I'd be surprised if it was PAWs (post acute withdrawal syndrome). Thats usually kicks in, if it kicks in at all, anywhere after a month.
A week is more likely simply withdrawal IMO. Still...I'm not a Dr
congrats on your week and welcome aboard - hope you're feeling better

I was a "weekend warrior" or binge drinker also. I got PAWS from 1 month through 8 months periodically. Not fun. It sounds like you just are in the withdrawal period. Knuckle through it and hopefully you don't get PAWS. Many sources say that even if you don't get PAWS, if you go back to drinking you may get it amped up next time you quit.
