Dan, I'm so sorry! I can't imagine what you're going through - I usually hang out in Al-Anon but your posts here have taught me a lot. Thanks for being a good teacher and strength to your arm as they say.

So sorry to hear about your sponsor. I'm praying he'll pull through and see that his life is worth saving.
This thread has reminded me that I am to turn my life and will over to the care of God as I understand Him. NOT meaning to take anything away from sponsors for they are so VERY VITAL, but it truly is our HP that gets us through each day. And I'm so grateful that He gave us sponsors to help us along the way.
There are brighter days ahead, Dan. Praying for them for you and your sponsor.

oh dangerous... i just read through this and it kills. we ARE having some parallel stuff. I am so sorry that you had to experience this. I am putting good thoughts on your sponsor or ex-sponsor. who the heck knows why things happen the way they do? but you are staying strong in sobriety. I am too. the gifts come in some ugly wrappings sometimes don't they? but they are gifts none the less. His suffering and yours has not been in vain. Thanks for sharing. love- alice
