Day three of home detox

This is my third day of home detox, the nurse comes everyday in the morning to breathalyse me & take my blood pressure, I am then given my medication which is Lithium, which is 6 tabs at 9am, 1pm, 6pm, 10pm. She also comes in the afternoon to check blood pressure & breathalyse me again.

Yesterday my meds were cut down to 5, 4 times a day, Im also taking vitamin B compound 3 times a day, Thiamin 3 times a day too, which I would suggest to anyone who's drinking to get these from your doctor, THE ONES THEY SELL IN THE HEALTH SHOPS ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH.

I have also been having Pabinex injections which are loaded with with vitamins to help with the detox. So far Ive had very bad sweats, headaches & feel very tired, I can definetly say that the meds take the edge off, Ive been in the house just chilling for the past two days but im going to try & go out for a while today.

The nurse will be back at 1pm to sort my meds out for later on as she doesnt like to leave them obviously incase I do drink then take them< which there is no way i would as i dont want to mess this up its took to long to get to this stage.

Im starting Campral today which is supposed to stop the cravings, fingers crossed, but so far so good the real hard work comes after this detox, feeling positive at the moment.

Awesome news that you are getting what seems to be excellent care. The nasty phyiscal stuff was always the worst at 3 or 4 days for me, those will definitely pass though - keep up the good work!

Librium, day four still alive, bit of a foggy head, meds will go down to 3 today , 15 tabs spread over the day, sweats are really easing off. I saw my doctor yesterday who gave me some Amptripiline so when I come off the lithium on sunday Ive got something to help me sleep, great to wake up not hung over, having my bloods done end of August hoping my liver gamma will have gone down. Also, my face doesn't look as puffy, maybe I'll be able to get my rings back on soon as my body is just full of fluid from the drink. Had cravings for chocolate which I never ate before suppose that's cause im not drinking all that wine which is full of the stuff.
