Exclamation Anyone else experience terrible side effects from naltrexone?

If this thread has already happened, please send me a link, as I am finding it very hard to navigate and search this site.

I was prescribed naltrexone 4 days ago, and had 1 tablet once a day for 3 days and I am so nauseated and dizzy I can barely move, except to run to the bathroom for diarea (spelling?) and vomiting. I can't keep anything down.
I really want this medication to work, and I'm wondering if anyone else had these symptoms and if it got better for them? I was supposed to get some things done today but haven't been able to get out of bed (except, as I said, for bathroom visits). I'm supposed to have band practice tomorrow, and a gig this weekend. I'm getting a but worried about this sickness.
Ps i have been taking the tablet with food as recommended.

Thank you. I hope I can get an answer soon!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, W.
You should ring your physician IMMEDIATELY and describe your symptoms in detail.
Several possibilities: could be alcohol withdrawal symptoms or a bad reaction to the Vivitrol. Doesn't matter your Doctor should be informed.
If symptoms worsen get to A&E immediately.

I'd agree - if you have physical symptoms that are that debilitating you need to see a doctor sooner rather than later.

I was given it at rehab after a couple weeks clean. Had a bad reaction and was taken off it immediately. Call the doctor.

Wilting, at the bottom of the page there are tag words. Click on naltrexone and it will take you to a series of threads discussing it.
