I am new here
I am new and just wanted to introduce myself. I am a happily married mother of two boys. My sobriety date is January 25th. My choice for alcohol was always beer, until last November when I developed a taste for wine. Honestly at the start I did not know that wine was 13% alcohol, but my disease did. I was alcoholic with beer, but the wine did me in. I thank
God for that experience--otherwise I may still be killing myself with the beer. I have been going to AA since January 25th--and it saved my life. Not to mention the future of my marriage and the well being of my children. Just wanted to say "hello". Any advice for someone new to the forum and the program?

Great job on the months collected. One day at a time is the best way.
Wine would put me under the table.
Beer or even whiskey I handled better. Wine would have me not remember things and not know what I was doing when drunk.
Look about...read, ask questions, learn... but also remember when you come here...enjoy and have fun as well.

Welcome to the forums s4s.
I am happy to hear you have found a programme that is working for you.The only suggestion I can offer you is to keep going to those meetings.They saved my life too.
Oh yeah and stick around here a while too.

Congratulations on staying sober.
There is a load of information floating around these boards.
You will also find support, understanding and love.
Have you checked out the different forums?
We also have regularly scheduled meetings.
