One year sober (again)
To be honest it has been very tough getting to this point, having lost a huge slice of sobriety and having to start again. No new feeling of hope, new friends, pink cloud. More digging myself out of a pit of my own making and trudging a road I have been down before.
Still making mistakes, but giving it a much better go this time around.
Will feel proud to go and get my 1 year chip tonight, when I think back to when I sat there crying that I had just drunk a bottle of wine in a public toilet, because I had no where left to drink.
Onward and upwards.

Yeah I can see how that might stink that whole having to do it all over again fight the same battle again that you already won. no one likes to do something twice like that. But the flip side is you did it yo ubeat it again and you learned that it stunk having to do it twice etc.. Maybe you just needed the reminder? But who cares the end result is your sober now thats a good thing.

Way to go! Look at it this way... you have at least 2+ years of sober time combined since you decided to quit. That's a lot of 24 hours when you won the battle. Your brain and body are better off for it. Give yourself some credit.
High five!
High five!
I too would focus on the ever increasing collection of sober time overall. Trudging is the kind of word that make one stumble and tired. Attitudes seem to set people up for relapse.
One year is a wonderful achievement and should be a moment of pride and joy. Let yourself feel that. Congrats on your hard work!
