But I think when people talk about internet addiction they're talking about certain very habit-forming things that interfere with having real relationships. Things like excessive internet porn or excessive gaming.
There is actually inpatient internet rehab near where I live (!!). They take away all your tech and make people start at ground zero in learning how to make friends.

An addiction is something that takes away from my life. It diminishes me.
I'm stuck at home a lot for physical reasons.
The internet, and SR, has improved my quality of life enormously.
It adds to my life, not detracts from it
