Tested ,yet again .....

The part time job ,is an internship for a finance co .

Its an unpaid position ,the benefit is sponsorship for the securities exams .

Im about ready to give it up ,I have never worked for a bunch of people so grumpy ,and absent of humor ,or happiness .

I as well was not aware I was so totally ignorant of how to do things

Despite being a very good stock trader ,and successful option trader before I started there .I went to school for those two subjects .
My boss ,constantly discounts my knowledge of the markets and how useless that knowledge is .

Im taking a break from contact with my boss a few days .

I do realize you need to be dead serious when dealing with clients money -I get that part .

But I work full time at a multi-billion $ company ,And have several million $
worth of the companies assets under my direct control at all times .

Yet ,we are allowed to laugh and crack a joke once in a while .
Heck ,we also have casual conversation too ,WHO would have thought it .

Im wondering ,when I get my own office ,if I have to be as miserable as my boss"s is now ?

If that's the deal ,im out .

I do suspect some people would be totally miserable if they won the lottery ,and all of lifes worries evaporated .

I think I can apply a little humor ,and good attitude to my own office .
Put my personal touch on it .

Im really about ready to go back to swing trading my favorite stock ,and selling options again .

Totally sympathise, you can have a laugh as long as the work is getting done.
People take themselves way too serious at times in my opinion.

In a rare use of profanity , I'll say both of my bosses are assholes .

Also in a rare event of allowing a small part of anger in ,
I'm about ready to tell them to go where it's hot and dark

I do not need to deal with this foolishness .

30 years of back breaking labor , and living frugally have got me where I don't have to

Karate....you are so difficult to follow. You have a part time job/internship to get your trading license. You also have a full time job with millions of assets you trade. ???? How does that work? And you work full time on your farm.

I try and follow your threads but I can't piece anything together.

I manage a large group of equipment , nearing the end of its life cycle . For our company .

When this equipment nears its economic life cycle for us ,
It's then my job .

I do no trading at full time job .

Confrontation won't help karate. Sit back and think this through.

You didn't answer jdooner's question.

And I don't get it sometimes as well. 3 jobs, 1 for no pay. Yet you claim such success and knowledge with trading.

Why not just do that and work no jobs?

Trading is a very stressful job ,Most people cant do it full time .

The capitol at risk , drives most people to make bad decisions .

Yes ,im sober .

Boss at other company is personality -negative

That does not excuse bad treatment of me personally .

Inerview ,Tuesday at 11:00 am .

With next company ,I don't waste time .

Both of my bosses have health issues that cause mood swings ,I just cant take it anymore .

But you claim that you can....and are very successful at it.

It's a no brainer. Just trade and quit all 3 jobs.

The mental aspects of full time trading , for your total income .

I sent my boss a text , explaining I was mad .

I likley overreacted , but I explained I was very unhappy there
And I'm done .

I wished him well in his business .

You sound like me too, act first and think second. I am getting more easy going these days being sober, but I used to be a hot head with stuff like that too.

You shouldn't be surprised by being tested in life. After all, isn't life really just a series of "tests" great and small? It's the great and small part we sometimes get mixed up on.

It's not the things that happen to us that cause suffering, it's how we perceive those things, and the feelings subsequently formed based on that perception, that actually causes the suffering. You have more control over that than you realize.

This sounds like classic bi polar behavior. If your unwilling to take meds for this, then becoming aware of when you become manic might be helpful. You were not disrespected most likely, your ego was bruised. You need to understand the difference in the future.

Your a farmer going into equity trading as an intern and want to be treated like your running the show? You are deluded to think people are going lay out the red carpet for you. Instead you went manic and killed this opportunity.

Ever radically change your Country Peoples Program or start looking into something that you can develop awareness and mindfulness like AA, CBT, RR. I think you might want to consider a forklift upgrade on what your doing if you want different results from what your experiencing.
