favourite place in your country to visit
As someone who would love to see more of the world one day, and this forum being multi-national, if you could tell me the one place I should visit in your country where would it be?
Been to the US maybe 6-7 times but always to Orlando but would love to see more and who knows maybe sooner rather than later.
Have a great weekend pholks.

The most famous attraction in the north of Ireland is the Giant's Causeway.
The legend goes Finn McCool, a local giant was being taunted by a Scottish giant until one day he eventually challenged the Scottish giant to a fight, he then proceeded to build a causeway of enormous stepping stones across the sea to Scotland
But as he approached and caught sight of the Scottish giant, Finn became afraid and fled back home with the causeway being broken up shortly afterwards.

Yes, they do coffee too I see New Orleans as a true cultural melting pot in America... and not so much a place to go and drink or party. Although many people do that there on Mardi Gras. I'd suggest going there when there's no holiday. I love it for the architecture, food, jazz roots, the art scene, and the literary history especially.
The myth came about because the exact same type of rock formations can be seen on the Isle of Staffa, Inner Hebrides, across the way from the N.Irish coast, hence the causeway linking Ireland and Scotland, this is Fingal's Cave:

Ireland is high on my travel list, btw! Been meaning to go there for a few years now. I'd love to start in Dublin and work my way north around the coast and end on the west side in Galway by those smaller islands

Arizona, most beautiful state I've ever lived in or travelled through. Everyone goes to the Grand Canyon but there's so much more.
I agree New Orleans is awesome I love the food and culture just be careful about what part of town you walk around in it can be a little dangerous.

Holkham Beach in North norfolk UK. I think it was voted the best beach in uk a couple years back. I would share a google image but I don't think they really do it justice and they also don't capture the dense pinewoods behind the beach. Well worth a visit if you're in the uk stoogy! Great thread
