Alcohol is poison

That is why you should beware of it. When people are drunk they sway, vomit, sometimes lose consciousness and even die. That is just like being poisoned. In fact it is being poisoned! The labels on bottles and cans containing alcohol should all say poison and not the names that they are given.

Welcome to SR
Remember the way you feel about it today. Because if you are the way I was,a week from now I would forget and be drinking poison again.

I agree, it's amazing how years ago we thought it was cool to be seen drinking a beer etc, but truth be told it is a poison and you are better rid of it.

Read the book Under the Influence. It pretty much explains the whole process your body goes through to get rid of the toxins (poison) you pour into your body when you drink alcohol.

Poison indeed. Crazy to think that I used to willingly ingest poison for hours. It's a relief I don't do that anymore.

Ethanol is poisonous and a psychoactive drug.

Therefore alcohol is a drug.

It is one of the oldest recreational drugs used by man.

Like any other drug if you take too much of it you can suffer serious repercussions.

Agreed, ethanol is mildly toxic. As someone who treats his withdrawal with weed once a week, the notion that one is legal and one mostly isn't is baffling.

70% isopropyl alcohol -

Keep out of reach of children ,If swallowed ,get medical help ,contact poison control center immediately .

Pretty clear to me .

I think some poor souls actually drink that stuff .

Because in moderation there is not enough ethanol to cause and serious problems whereas cigarettes in moderation can and do kill.
