thiamine
Has anyone here taken thiamine (Vitamin B1) to help with detox? I heard that it was good for the brain and that a lot of alcoholics have a thiamine deficiency.

Thiamine deficiency can be common in heavy drinkers, but it's best to ask your doctor before taking any supplements.

I was given it via IV in the hospital also. During my detox visits. You would have to research what it does.

I had a thiamine deficiency. It made the muscles in my arm jerk. Now I take a supplement (with a doctor's recommendation) and I'm fine.
