Smell of alcohol caused massive anxiety

So I have 10 weeks sober, and am fortunate that I have not had to be around any alcohol since, either in the drink or even on other peoples breath. I was doing some cleaning at work yesterday, and grabbed a spray bottle and sprayed down the bench. Within seconds this nauseating smell hit me, and I started sweating, BP went through the roof, and and vision swarmed. I grabbed the bottle, and lo and behold, it was a 70% (140 proof!) ethanol disinfecting spray! If I ever had any doubts about how I react to alcohol, they are gone. I really feel for those in recovery who are trapped in situations where the can't get away from it. Just thought I'd share. Its not all just in our heads.

Sorry to hear that, I'm with Karate in the fact that I have pretty poor sinuses which may well be a good thing for situations like that.
I'm sure it will pass with time my friend, great excuse to avoid cleaning though lol 😃😃😃😃
