The decision process .....
Worked in several diffrent industries , lots of difficult work .
Farming is the most difficult job , I ever did .
Not the rich trust farmers , the small farmers like me .
It's all on you .
Not downplaying your job , but I have many certifications
In many diffrent industrial jobs
Farming is a self reliant job , you own everything , you do every job .
Fincancally liable for all of it too .
I'm not saying we are better than anyone else , but are a recorceful group .
Most of us have been through , some pretty tough times .
I'm thankful for the experence , would not change anything about that part of my life .

Karate , I'd like to know if you read my earlier post? I ask because I got sober almost 18 months ao. I'm not certain how you could be in AA, have read the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book ( several times) and still are trying to "fight" your Alcoholsm.
My suggestion still is ask your old time AA friend....maybe he could be your Sponsor? A connection, IMHO, is missing here, perhaps the old timer could be of help in your struggle with your alcoholism. Your thoughts on what I'm writing would be appreciated.

We talk quite a bit ,he is a bit rough around the edges ,as I am so we get along great .
Im really not struggling with it much to speak of .
Now after work ,I don't think about getting beer .
And its getting better every day .
The first time I quit ,I had a bit of a psysical dependence .
This time it was not like that ,so its not what id call real easy .
But not very difficult now .
First week was a bit harder .
Im coming up to a month ,after next week .
Get offered beer quite a bit ,No problem to turn it down .
You people have taught me a lot about this little problem .
THANKS
Im not drinking ,but want to continue to learn what I can .
Karate your country people program is a lot like mine. When I don't drink I'm a better person mentally, physically, and spiritually so why would I drink? But after time we start to forget this and that's where reading on here, AA, etc. comes into play for us. We need to remember where we came from so we don't go back there.

Agreed ,that's why im here .
Its easy to stop ,but the memories of how bad it was . Will bear staying on task .
Karate, I usually don't respond to your posts because your"all over the map" so to speak. But being sober 3 weeks is a good thing and im truly happy for you. But may I suggest a different approach for you? How's about just surrendering to alcohol? Yep that's right. Surrender. For me it was the easiest solution to my self inflicted demise. Why think up all these scenarios pertaining to abstinence? Just give it up and quit. Join a support group for sharing and remembering the bad times. This will keep your resolution strong and help others as well. Just my advice sir.

Im not good at the surrendering to alcohol ,process .
Not many things ill back down from ,never have .
Still less I fear , With the exception of God ,I don't really fear anything .
Im not saying im tough ,just mentally free .
And it took a while .
And to think im this crazy totally sober .
Im pretty darn happy though ,I think happiness is a choice as well .
Its not about backing down. Its about realizing alcohol is more powerful than you are. Once you realize this you will step out of the drinking game knowing full well you can't ever win. By doing so, you actually defeat alcoholism by not drinking because your no longer a player. Its very simple karate. So simple in fact its baffling how well it works.
