Wootwoot

Well, It's official 365 CONSECUTIVE sober days. Still just a tiny bit miffed at myself about having to give up the 80 I had when I used again but I learned a lot from that incident. Let someone know what you are thinking BEFORE you use not after. It saved me from another incident this summer when I came on here and confessed to people who know what it really means if I pick up again. AO and Jaynie had that one.
Everyone on here helped me in some way or another. Reading a random response or interacting on someone's thread. I have made some great friendships on here (you know who you are) and it has kept me from feeling alone in this. Sorry LTD when I pmed you this past summer and got my crazy all over you.
Thank you to all the people who keep this site up and running!!!!!!

I know we don't talk about stats on here but the one year mark is huge to swinging the odds to your favor. Recently I had this thought that maybe I should once and for all tackle the "am I" or "am I not really" with a drinking experiment (for science of course) You know who thinks like that? An addict, that's who. No normal person would come within a mile of booze after what I put myself through. Both when I was drinking and this past 15 months. Now I just have to remember that.

Thank you everyone on SR!!!!! Especially my bestie AO!!!

Rock. Freakin. Star.

I am so proud of you. You did it buddy.

I would not be where I am if it wasn't for your gentle but persistent nudging. Part of who I am today is absolutely because of you. Hooker, you are one of my most very favoritest people that I have never met ( yet).

I'm honored and grateful to have you in my tribe .

You are an inspiration.

Onward soldier !

Silentrun!!!! 365….it was meant to be just the way you did it. It really is a quantum leap, so so precious. I love being in the trenches with you and all my gal pals here, I would have closed the bars with you, now we get to hang out 'til the wee hours and still love ourselves in the am.

I think we all can appreciate the climb…and how extending a hand when a friend hits a rough patch helps both of you. You did it, you made the hard call to come on here and talk about it before…right when the rubber met the road. I agree with IMP…we need jackets. I think it is awesome to talk about stats…we are the few, the proud, the sober SR chickadees!! Way to go sista!!!

Congrats Silent Run
I am heading for two years sober in a few weeks. Passing the one year was a big deal and it does but you in a good position. I would say that I have actually only really started to recover in terms of emotional control and optimism in the last 6 months and I am finally starting to see my decision to stop boozing as the best decision I have ever made.
With patience you really do get your life back.
Best of luck for year 2.

Silentrun....this is awesome news!

Thanks for sharing some of the details....AO....well, she dragged my butt out of a bender last October too.xx

So much is achievable when we know people want us to win...even strangers....who end up helping to remind us how precious our sobriety is and we are worth it.

Good to see you make this milestone. And yep, the 80 days still count as awesome too!
