Made 6 months

6 months sober last Saturday. I haven't been by here in a while, but I'm still actively working my program. Thanks a million to everyone here who helped me directly or indirectly through those difficult first couple months. I highly doubt I could have done it without you. Still a work in progress, but I'm fairly amazed how much has changed in 6 mos.

Extremely happy for you, that's an amazing milestone, did it seem like a quick 6 months?
Well done again.

The first 60-days were very tough and seemed the longest no question. I was in a very bad place and I felt every single rotten minute of that period. I don't mean to discourage anyone, or sugar coat it. Something gelled around 60-days though, it wasn't unicorns and rainbows, but I think I stopped beating myself up and was able to start looking forward and moving forward. By 90-days I was really re-engaging my life, socially and otherwise. Last couple months has just been living life. I've done a reasonable job of restructuring my life around sobriety, no mysteries, no secrets, etc. My new GF is aware of my past and accepts it, all on the table. Short answer, yes, it seems like it's gone very quick.
