Dr. says it is LIKELY early stages of cirhossis

Well, so I went and got a medical opinion and had blood tests done. Just going off the feeling around part, he said it appears as if it is early cirrhosis. He said after blood test, he would give me Lasix to get the fluids out of my abdomen.

So basically being that I am 37, I will get liver cancer at some point unless I kill myself first.

I know, the important thing is not to drink. Hell, if I knew I was doing this much damage, I wouldn't have.

This is not medical advice and I don't have a medical background but, from what I have read, I don't think that liver cancer is a given at all, Kllme. And it is possible that your liver is palpable due to fatty liver disease. Either way, alcohol avoidance is the best solution.

Hope that the bloodwork will give you some peace of mind. Please keep us posted.

heres a story of a friend of mine I met in recovery. cirhossis was not the end all for him and he lived a very productive life for many years:

even though it can happen having cirrhosis is not a definite that cancer will happen.

you can still have a productive, happy life, too, if you don't drink and change you and your lifestyle.

Yeah, again guys, I have no desire to drink. I want to focus all my energy on bodybuilding, work, and finding a wife. The local liquor areas stores may be sending me discounted offers soon when they don't see me.

Thanks Tomsteve, I read your thread about your friend and it's really powerful.
