Check up with the Doctor
Hi SR.
I'm just posting this to encourage those still trying to quit. After struggling to quit drinking for two years I have managed to put some time together sober with the help of outpatient rehab and AA and a great sponsor. I went to the Doctor today to follow up with labs and I'm so happy to report that my liver enzymes are all perfectly normal now where two years ago I was diagnosed with fatty liver. My bad cholesterol is down 80 points and my sugars are normal not to mention I have lost 20 pounds! My Doctor said she has only seen across the board improvements like that a few times in her career. I told her the only thing I have done is quit drinking! I'm so surprised. I think I was resigned to failing health. Good things are happening to me finally! Yay! If I can do it so can you!
I'm mostly a lurker but I read SR everyday and I never would have gotten this far without you!

Good news!
I wish I had old a new to compare other than one photograph and really, that is enough..
I went recently and I am in tip top shape for 45. I was shocked.
I am glad all is well with you and congrats on your sobriety.
