Don't Want to Do Anything

The irony is, I really don't have to do anything today. I'm an independent consultant and I'm between clients so today is pretty much a free day. It's raining and gross out, and the rest of my day is super busy. But I feel compelled to do everything on my "list" and can't relax. So instead of recharging I'm jumping back and forth between tasks I neither want to do today nor are required to do today. Why can't I just give myself the permission to chill? Not at all considering drinking, but for some reason I think my brain equates putting tasks off with "bad" behavior. UGH.

Hi jmnyc,

If I had a swatch of time where I didn't have to do anything, I would do some yoga or practice meditation. These are things I always put off because I think I have other, more important things to do.

Funnily enough, one of the things on my list is making it to the yoga studio and I'm resisting leaving the house. Ha!

I have yoga cd's that I use so I do not have to leave the house!
It is just setting aside a good 30 - 60 minutes to actually do it.
