Binge Drinking and Blackouts--It doesn't get better
Congrats, Jriver!
I'm 24 also (25 in a week though :P ), and I've been sober for... 2 months? Or maybe a month? I dunno; not counting.
Either way, it's been absolutely excellent for me. Like you I'd quit once before, then lost another 8 months of my life while "moderating," which quickly became the same thing as my daily binge drinking madness.
It's alright to be a young alcoholic. It just means we've got that much more time to live soberly

An update
I’ll continue my sporadic updates, in case this thread and my previous posts can help people. Particularly those blacking out and wondering how to fix it.
I’m over 6.5 years completely sober now.
I never want to black out again.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Thank you, everyone. Perhaps I'll check back in here when I hit ten years, God willing.
I'm no longer in my twenties, but they would have been dramatically different had I kept drinking. Dramatically. I'm not sure I'd be alive.
