Quick question
Hi, bradtabs. I did outpatient after six days of detox. I thought it was a huge help. I went for two weeks from 9 till 4:00, then two weeks from 9:00 till noon. At that point, I was able to work in the afternoons so it was a way to kind of ease back into my job.
If you are adamant about quitting drinking, IOP can help. Just become a sponge and absorb all you can. You'll learn coping skills for when cravings hit and other helpful tips on how to live a sober life. I'm glad you're giving yourself this gift, bradtabs.

Yeah drinking has done nothing for me. Rather then sitting in bed dealin with withdrawals on such nice days, and having no sleep was no more. Especially since I'm athletically built and indeed am an athlete. It just gets old. Ruined jobs, relationships, etc.

Depends entirely on what kind of outpatient treatment it is. There are countless varieties out there. The one at the hospital would be more by the medical book, the treatment centre ones vary considerably as well. Some focus entirely on the AA program, others slightly, some are just PHD's by the book like the hospitals.
