I would have avoided it early on but now I'm good. On a side note, I usually hit the locally owned cafés in my area and a lot of them are owned by European families and do sell wine and beer. Personally, I find the carb loaded delicious treats harder to avoid..., eek!

That sounds like a good idea on Starbucks's part. Get your coffee AND wine all in one place? How artistic, how poetic, how bohemian! I like the idea of an atmosphere like that, and it'll be very nice for all the people who have never had a problem with drinking themselves to death or over stimulating their nerves to the point of an anxiety attack with the power of joe.

I agree with the people who say "it doesn't matter because I don't drink."
There are other people besides us who will enjoy it very much, so that's great.
I'll still be going there to lounge with my laptop and free refills on vanilla rooibos tea, completely Undisturbed by the joyous lives of others...

Starbucks has paid under £9 million tax in UK despite recording £3 billion sales since 1998 so this might just be another reason not to drink there!
