hi all, on my 11th day of sobriety.. caught the flu this past weekend.. funny thing is i cant recall the last time i was sick. maybe the drinking either didnt let me see that i was sick or maybe it didnt let me get sick.. been feeling ok lately.. still going to meetings and taking it one day at a time. feeling a bit of anxiety and the loneliness feeling is slowly going away.. i know its still early in my recovery..but im very optimistic. just wanted to check in .

Just keep being okay with however your day is - sick/not sick, happy/not happy...staying sober is job 1. We learn very slowly what it's like to not always get what we want and be alright with that. Good work and just put one foot in front of the other

Feel better soon and well done on your sober time. I think we often didn't even notice we had flu because we felt so grotty all the time anyway. Speedy recovery and plenty of water xxxxxx
