Karate, I decided this was going to be my way forward, difficult or easy, it didn't matter, I had quit drinking. I had made my decision, final and everlasting. You can do it too. There is never a good reason to drink, and a thousand good ones not to.

Congratulations on the three days too.

I had it to a moderated point , that was a decent plan . Or so I thought .

A moderated plan for a drinker is a 3 beers to a 6 pack on work days and a 12 pack on days off .

The moderated amount is still quite a bit too much ,by normal standards

But still at that ,I wanted to see if it was hurting my energy levels .

I did quite a bit of research and most of it suggested alcohol use does hurt our energy and mental edge .

I think I do feel better ,It actually makes sense if we don't force our bodies to process poison we would feel better .

I feel quite a bit better already .

Sounds like you are really getting a feel for how your body responds. From all the reading I've been doing that is a real key in getting "unaddicted". Well done.

I feel better than I have been feeling , doing good .

First day or two were a bit different , but now its no problem .

I have been somewhat keeping it in check , but still feeling tired a bit of the time ,And not as good in the mornings .

I thought id try this and see how it worked out .

good stuff, Karate.
just a heads up, though just my own experience: "how it goes" can change from day to day or moment to moment, though the overall trend is towards fairer weather.

Its a bit more difficult to quit , when you are not having a lot of trouble from it .

Feeling bad is trouble though ,I did notice feeling worse mentally too .

Drinking makes me a little bit depressed ,it always has ,

Be grateful your bottom is not a result of an epic fail. I agree that if you have a high bottom relatively speaking it can be tougher to quit. I thought I had a high bottom but through recovery I saw how much pain and loss, which was inside me - I was dead.

I am proud of you Karate. I don't believe moderation can work. Keep vigilant man.

You can always dig to a deeper bottom, or a new bottom. Its not how high, or low we have fallen. Its what we do when that hand is reached out and you grab it.
