I have an idea.
Why don't you make a pros and cons list
What are the benefits of drinking on one side
What are negative consequences of drinking on the other
and then a seperate list of how your life would be if you were sober and happy?
List all the things you would like to do but have put off because of your drinking.
What would you like to do liss? Do you have any dreams?
You know you can be sober and happy liss. ya know liss I couldn't even get in the car
and drive to 7 eleven 2 miles away without a drink at one time.
I woke up and cracked open a beer every morning and drank till 10 at night one after
the other. jail 7 times, 14 intitutions, suicide attempts.
One day I said why am I doing this. I was chasing a feeling that I would never catch
again. I would never have enough drinks.
liss, I went into detox 4 my last time. I had to be free of alcohol before I could start
taking suggestions and working with a sponsor.
But I did. I got out of detox and went to a meeting that night.
1st suggestion 90 meetings in 90 days.
Why do they suggest that?
Because I needed to constantly have good ideas put in my head and have those bad ideas
pushed out. I could not trust my own thinking period.
My plan for living kinda sucked.
you can do this liss, you can do this.
1 hour a day that's all. I know I spent a lot more than an hour a day drinking.
1 hour a day every day and your life will change liss. They wouldn't suggest it if it did not work.
Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path.

That's one thing that really played on my mind towards the end of my drinking Liss. Who am I????. Will i live and die without ever knowing who i truly am and who i could become. Will others' memories of me be just that i lived and died a drunk who struggled and lost....
