Day 7
Hello everyone my name is Getbetteragain and I am an Alcoholic. This has been a good week and a hard week at the same time. I have had a biological birthday, first one sober in years, and other things happening in this week for good or ill. I am still dry, no drinks for me! WOOT! The days get better as far as feeling good. Saturday was the only day I felt bad physically. I am hopeful that all physical signs of drinking are on their way out over the coming months and years of recovery. My wonderful better half purchased me a workout routine and I have started it. All in all I have a LOT to be thankful about. God's grace and I will remain thankful and in the right frame of mind. Today the thought of a drink was pretty intense for a few minutes. Reading on here and doing some self reflection and the craving passed rather quickly. Once again, God's grace in action. Thank you all for being here. You are all an inspiration!
