Triggers

Well for me Sundays is for folding clothes and watching Snapped. I am having a hard time not running to the store for beer.... Weirdest trigger ever? I am 20 days sober, I don't want to give up but wow

Congrats on 20 days! I just made it one week and am trying to pay attention to unexpected triggers. From reading SR it sounds like they can be stealthy, ruthless and pounce at any moment.

Stay strong...

I had to look up what Snapped was... lol

The more sober Sundays you clock up the less you'll feel triggered oct11...I promise

There are some great tips here:

Congrats on 21 days sober! I can totally see how a TV show or household chore could be paired with drinking and become a huge trigger. It will get so much easier as you break that pattern.

Hi Jen 20 days sober, brill. Stick with it and us, so easy to fall back on that slippery slope. It does get easier with time.

Haha, I do laundry when I watch snapped also! It's not really a trigger for me though.

A stressful day at work, like today, is a big trigger. anxiety about upcoming projects, etc.

Also, going out with certain friends for a girls night out. I was supposed to do that tonight but thought it smarter to skip it.
