An Odd Symptom

I haven't had a drink since Tuesday night, and yesterday after lunch my poop was green. Then tonight after dinner my poop was green again.

I know green poop isn't usually a cause for concern, but this is the first time it has happened in a while haha.

Anyone else experience green poop shortly after stopping the booze?

I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not, but it's probably something you ate.

Hi Funyons

sent you a link via PM.

Like Hope said, check your diet. If you can't find a cause there, or you're concerned see your doctor.

I have had green poops, black poops, red poops. Depends on how green it is I guess and what you have eaten in the last 24 to 48 hours. A concern like that is meant for a doctor, not the internet.

This usually happens after taking pepto-bismol or eating asparagus, if you've had either of those recently...

When we consume large quantities of alcohol, are liver gets overworked and may not be able to produce the bile required to process fats which is than passed through the digestive system which results in your symptom.

Good thing you decided to lay off the booze as it can be a sign for liver damage. Kind of an uncomfortable discussion to have, but maybe it would be a good idea to talk with your doc about it.

Yep I think seeing a doctor is a good idea. Don't mean to sound alarming.

I re-read my previous response and felt it sounded very serious, maybe a little too serious. Hope I didn't alarm you, I just think its a good idea to get a check-up after someone gives up booze.
