Tiptre, If you still work for the same company, you might ask your employers to contact your former boss and give him your number. This way he can call you and no one is giving out any personal info.
Sure, I would imagine some of my coworkers are alcoholics. For quite a few, it's blatantly obvious. I've gotten unintelligible phone calls after hours from a few. I've smelled it on them in the morning. I've felt the wrath of a hung over supervisor...But, I can't judge someone's private life. As my sponsor says, I have to worry about my side of the street.
I wish every drunk would find the Steps & do what I'm doing. They would feel so much better if they did...But I know I wasn't hearing any of that when I was wet. When people ever mentioned recovery, AA, or the like while I was wet, I would get disgusted.
So, to avoid awkward situations, I'll just take care of my side of the street.
