I think anxiety is pretty common Mike - I certainly had it.
Have you had anxiety before?

Hi Mike, I had many emotions, anxiety was one, but I did go to docs to see if he could help with that.

Yes Dee have had anxiety problems 20+ years and my GP has just changed my anti depressants as well so suppose could be a side effect from that too ????

Sounds like early sobriety and a change in medication may be causing anxiety....but this is good...because you are sober. Being sober causes one to actually FEEL the feelings....it was uncomfortable for me at first but I'm getting better at it ....and you will too!! Stay strong!

I think any long term anxiety is bound to flare up once we quit mike...

and it takes time for new anti-d's to work, and as you probably know they don't tend to work at all with alcohol.

give it a few days, see your Dr if its unbearable, and keep using the support here

Mike it is quite common bro. But this too shall pass! It feels like hell now but it will get better. I'm sure this is no t your first detox hangover if your anything like the rest of us. It helped me to just know in my head that this is a physical symptom and it will get better you just have to ride it out..

Well all I can say is thank heavens I was not sat here 2 bottles of wine down yesterday ..............just the thought of how I would feel now is making me worse!

Would never have made it out for a coffee and a bit of shopping if hungover on top

At least now when I am anxious I KNOW it is anxiety and not withdrawal

thanks guys .you really have been amazing these last 3 days
