great article on $ addiction
My summary: Many Wall Street types are addicted to money, always wanting their next fix, just like an alcoholic wants their next drink. And since many of them have tons of money to begin with, they invest and invest and make more and more money,...getting higher and higher, using rationalizations to keep that money all to themselves. They are the ones the money affects...since the money is their addiction, they will hoard it to ensure that they are the only ones who get their next fix...much like alcoholics hoard away booze for fear of not getting their next fix right when they want it.
Addiction is everywhere..... And all addiction seems to work with very similar if not identical brain circuitry patterns....
Which makes you wonder....is EVERYONE an addict? Money, sex, shopping, food, sugar, video games...what is a vice and what is an addiction???
