I never got hangovers by the end either.
In my ignorance I thought that was awesome.
It may not be so awesome:
If You Don't Suffer From Hangovers, You Should be Worried
what I take from that, and what I decided for myself, was that my body wasn't working real well.

I dont know, still never can get away from it. Compared to NORMAL people, Im a prodigy ofcourse... but thats nothing.
Also, no offense intended, but I dont know how any alcoholic cannot be hurting simply due to dehydration if nothing else. Even nights when I didnt drink all
THAT much, the constant waking up with cotton mouth...the shrinking (dehydrated) brain headache...
Ive been doing much better, but still that ugly feeling afterwards...I know what the best option is.

I remember when I hit that stage and thought, 'cool, now I can drink more and not feel it the next day!'. Like Dee implied.... it really is a bad sign.
I hope you can realize that your drinking has become a real problem. That is A LOT of wine!
Do your best to stop now before your health becomes a HUGE problem.

I'm not surprised Gold
My last drunk, would drink a whole handle & on wknds be still "strong enuf" to drink more then wake up as if nthg happened nite b4. That's never happ to me
But as its said, it's a progressive disease but I'm not goin to pick up just to find out what I can "manage" today

Sounds familiar. I'd awake to something akin to a "buzz" and feel like I was walking in a soft cloud. There was no pain. Even the sound was muffled. That was a very bad sign, in my case, as the eventual withdrawals were life threatening much like afloatsober's.
Yep
I guess that those of us that survived have a duty to share just how bad this can get if left untreated. Hate to scare those struggling but our experience is often our most powerful asset sometimes when trying to help....

first thought: what's your point???
second thought: what would be different for you if you had hangovers?
third thought: likely nothing.
fourth thought: why does this matter to you enough to put out here?
which is much like my first thought.

I never got hangovers in the last couple years and was drinking 750ml of vodka a night on the weekends and 350ml per day as maintenance. I would be foggy but not hung over - of course I was sleeping till 9 or 10AM towards the end, waking up doing some work for a few hours and then drinking at 4PM.
I think your putting it out there as a cry for help FG. You are in bad shape man and going to get worse - I am not sure if this means anything or helps though.

At some point during my drinking career, my hangovers went away. Why? Because I still had a significant amount of alcohol in my blood stream the next morning. My body did not finish processing the alcohol till about 3 or 5 PM. Then the DT's started up with shakes and cold sweats.

This isn't my experience, other people have told me things like this, that they didn't get hangovers. I always thought they were full of crap. Everybody lies, or so I thought.
I am trying to embrace knowledge that I've resisted, based on others suggestions, to help myself, and perhaps others.
