Short Term Disability and Recovery

Can anyone tell me if they have received short-term disability through their employer while they went for drug and/or alcohol rehab?

I received short-term disability (medical leave) when I was in alcohol rehab a few years ago. I was paid 100% of my salary. No one asked any questions when I returned.

Some employers will even pay for a month of treatment - mine would (public service job, mind).
