getting back on track

So, I've decided to go back to total sobriety. I was sober for 3 months and relapsed. The problem is, it's harder for me to avoid alcohol this time around it seems. It's also hard because I don't have any real friends to support me and my home life and work are crazy, which makes it worse. I started drinking more to "cope" with those things. I went to rehab the first time I quit drinking. I think I'm going to review a lot of the materials I got out of the 2 weeks I spent in the rehab facility, to try to get back into coping... any thoughts on this? Thanks for reading

Jmbrandon, reviewing the material from your 2 weeks in rehab. sounds like a great idea. Keep visiting SR and know that you are stronger than this disease.

If it's more support you need have you considered the various meeting based recovery groups Jmbrandon?

Hi. For many including myself we need face to face meeting to help from isolation which is so easy for an alcoholic. In your area I'd bet there are meetings just about every hour within a close proximity.

BE WELL
