ok here i sit

Just sold my pizza shop where I hung for last eight years, having brews on Friday nights....too many....trying to start new patterns....it s tough....

Sounds like you are determined. Too many people don't take doing this seriously. Starting out saying "Yea I quit today,but I'm still going to the bar with friends tonight. I think I will be OK." Yea,they might get away with it a few times but I think we know where it will lead.
Staying sober does take focus and sacrifice. But in the long run it really does pay off,even if it doesn't feel that way right now.
And yes Saturday AM sure will be nice.

Thanks Fred....I think mine is more about environment...I teach part-time and literally never think about a pint...once at pizza place, bottles were opened...helps reading here too...

You have a good attitude LittleRhody. You're taking the steps you need to protect yourself from falling back on the old lifestyle & that's very brave.

I agree with you about the F&B jobs. So many triggers & temptations all around.
