Don't quit trying, I found myself in the same boat a while ago. I like this quote by Theodore Roosevelt, reminds me it is better to try and then relapse than to just keep drinking f and let alcoholism win:

The past is the past. It sounds cliché, but the only thing you can do is focus on the "now". We can't change the past, or stress about the future. Get back on the wagon and start it again! So what if you have a sobriety date change. Who really cares? The only important thing is that you are a non-drinker as of right now. It doesn't matter if you got hammered last night, or if you last drank 5 years ago. If you're a non-drinker at this moment, then you're a non-drinker.
