Sad news tonight .......
My favorite aunt passed away ,she lived about 80 miles away .
She was 90 years old ,Been meaning to call her ,but put it off ,busy .
Sure regret not calling .

Hey, Karate,,,I Totally Feel & Relate with You - The night My Grandad died in Hospital in July, I was too Drunk to go see him that Night. No words to describe how I feel about that. Really Good to hear You're not willing to drink over it, though...

I have RX sleeping meds ,I just took one .
Otherwise im not sleeping ANY tonight ,its 1 am our time .
No urge to drink . Oldest boy is visiting for holidays ,Has a small bottle of crown ,offered me some ,I declined .
I don't want to deal with this stuff hungover .

hang in there dont regret not calling there is nothing you can do about that. its nto worth beating yourself up over something like that.My grand father passed and I hadnt seen him in 4 years next ya know he passes on. I regreted and kicked myself over that for years. ya know what? it wasnt worth it I was just better moving forward with being sure to spend as much time as i could with other relatives some i did better with others I did not it is what it is but no sense in kicking yourself over it.
Kudos for staying sober tho. Death scares me its one of those things where i promptly go get hammered to cope. I have not had to deal with the death of a close loved one csince i sobered up I hope I'll be able to remain sober too when the time comes.
