I don't see harshness as such? For all the energy spent, this is a sober recovery forum, and so subjective and objective points of view on what and what isn't sobriety are all open for discussion, which is generally helpful for everyone.

I don't see how sobriety can be anything other than total abstinence. It's not harsh to question this because 3 drinks to many if us would be the beginning of a slip back into drinking all day
