Are ya detoxed now? It's a good time to stay off the booze!!

We can support that!

I second sugar bear, I think you are lucky and would run away from booze while your still ahead. Specially if you are detoxed.

We are here for support when you need us.

Ah that sounds scary! I've never had a seizure myself but the fact alcohol withdrawal can cause them is another reason to stay stopped I suppose ! Just out of curiosity, did you have any withdrawal symptoms prior to the seizure? Were you shaking a lot ? It's just most people I've heard of who have seizures from withdrawal usually go through a day of shaking and hallucinating before they happen but of course that's not always the case... Hope you're doing well now! Happy Xmas !

One of your semi recent threads was "how bad does it get?" in regards to drinking. I think you just found out part of your answer. Unfortunately it can still get a lot worse. Do you want to find out how much worse?

Glad to hear you recieved good care and made it through the ordeal. Did you speak with anyone regarding steps you can take moving forward? It sounds like you have a physical dependance now, so seiziures (or Worse) are a high probability if you drink again.

You're young and now would be a good time to stop. Talk to a doctor about other methods of help for your insomnia. A seizure is serious business. You could die. I hope you can find the strength to quit.

Wishing you much love and a happy holiday.

That's the body's way of saying knock alcohol on the head! . . . it's had it's fill and it's time to move on!

Wishing you all the best!!

I'm glad you're ok jvice - seizures and stuff like that are bad news, and very scary...believe it or not things can get even worse than that if you go back to drinking.

Do you have a plan to stay sober now?

D

All of my sleeping issues went away when I quit... It took a while but they did. And no more anxiety issues either.
