My Christmas wish to you all
It is Christmas eve. I am sitting here peacefully with hubby. Presents wrapped, cards written, watching my favorite tv show. We will be spending this evening with friends for a curry evening. This will be a lovely evening with friends that I've known for years, there will be some drinking but mostly it will be civilized just normal drinking. I will not be drinking, but my sparkling water & lime. I will wake up feeling amazing, well, maybe not, as I've now got a rotten cold!
Christmas day I will not be drinking. I will be drinking my sparkling water & lime. This message is just to say whoever you are, wherever you may be, I hope and I pray that you do not drink. I pray that you do not WANT to drink, but stave off those cravings JUST FOR ONE DAY. Then you will wake up without guilt, without regrets and without the pain and hell of a hangover.
Thanks every one of my friends on SR for keeping me sober with all your postings of help & advice. I wish you a sober, peaceful Christmas xxx

Thanks, lily! I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family. My boyfriend left for rehab yesterday so I'm missing him a bit, but feeling hopeful and relieved that he's getting the help he needs. We celebrated with sparkling blueberry juice the other night and it was festive and delicious!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with Joy.
