Sudz No More

When I joined here back in 2009 I was so sure as most of us are that I would beat Alcohol 1,2,3... 3 Years later I was still trying to get a grasp on being truly in recovery. Sure I had my moments over the first 3 years where I did great, talked the talk and walked the walk. But there where still many many slips and trips that I always had to excuse away.

Finally last year around this time I got the start I needed, the push I needed, and I stayed off the booze long enough to get into some solid recovery. Now I only see forward, a sober way of life and no regrets. Another day and another post here slowly building past 1000. In 3 weeks I will finally pass the one year mark of continuous sobriety, an achievement that has eluded me my entire life to this point.

Many of your posts have given me strength, others have made me want to share compassion and return that strength. Through it all though I have remained vigilant to the goal we all share here at SR. To live a Sober Alcohol Free Life.
