Guess who showed up on my day 4
Hi all,
Had a super day at work and feel awesome. Guess who should up on my way back from work in my truck. My AV voice! I totally knew and recognized it. I'm having a mineral water and relaxing. The voice is gone! Now I only need to keep separating myself from it. Weird, It was not an urge coming from me and it was strong, like come on man just a couple to relax. You'll just do this tonight. The real me knew this would end up in a 3 day binge.
So the real me is happy, the voice is gone.

I'm pretty sure it knew that it wouldn't be just one night or just a couple, the difference is it doesn't care.

Great news, Pat! Recognizing the voice of that %$&*@! is a great tool to use. And it's always there, right in your back pocket too. Take it to the next step and see how powerless it is, and understand that this voice is not you because you actually want to have a life.

After keeping busy today and cleaning the house I decided to watch a movie. And there it came. You did great, 6 days, worked hard. Why not enjoy the night and have just a few. My AV was like an elephant in a china shop. I was alone so I said out loud, if you wan't the booze go get it yourself, I'm not moving from this sofa. Then I analyzed how I was the one that can move my body, my AV can't. I then felt a feeling of control of the situation.

If you can understand, Jutam, that this voice can't operate your body, only you get to do that, the voice gets a whole lot less scary. It's not to be feared or debated or wrestled with, it's really not worth the bother. You can totally just accept it and get on with your business. Things to do. Onward!
