I'm a self made Multi-Millionaire as well. Money was my issue. I didn't do anything, I was bored so I got drunk and high all the time. I thought everything was just fine and my life was completely manageable because I'm wealthy. Well, it wasn't. I was a complete mess.
Its a huge step in a positive direction that you can finally admit it. At least it was for me.
Don't get wrapped up in your ego and get to some meetings, or get some support, pay someone like an Addiction Psychologist like I did. Believe me it does help. You can't do it alone.
Best of luck.

Not insult intended. But if I was rich I would be the first one on a plane to get help somewhere really nice and fancy. A place with no snow like here in Canada!

I would eat lobster and caviar. Go to the beach, skuba dive. Crap now I'm at my office desk having a cold ham sandwitch. LOL!

to SR
Don't bash that woman, it takes two to tango. If you did not want children you could have worn a rubber, gotten clipped or even better not gone out and engage in casual meaningless sex. You made your bed, those kids did not ask to be conceived and now you will have to do the adult thing and step up to the plate
and it starts with YOU becoming sober.
Those kids will need YOU more than your money whether you are living with their mother or not.
I don't know how much you drink but I would suggest you consult with your physician and see whether or not you need medically supervised detox.
There is a lot of support here on SR and also read the forums until you find a method of recovery which attracts you (I go to AA).
Formulate a plan and stick to it.

Good luck

indeed. it just amazes me that a female can get so much, 18 years of easy riding for her. its the law, seems unreal

Well, kids do have to eat, wear clothes etc.... then it all becomes MORE expensive as they get older. Just my take. However, if you have 50/50 custody of the kids you pay less so she can work etc... and you get to spend LOTS of time with them. Just thoughts.

Anyway, with nothing but free time and lots of money I agree with Thepatman. Some of those really high-end rehabs are like resorts. Just an idea.
