Day 1 again
Day one again, just found it so hard socially when everyone else is drinking, so decided to just drink moderately on those occasions, moderately has turned into heavy and is now creeping in to my home alone time again, has to stop was so much happier just not drinking atall
Welcome Sarah
yeah I found that too...I had to change my social routine for a while too - being around drinkers was too much for me in the early days.
there's plenty of support here - glad you found us

I certainly understand that. The worst for me was the people who wouldn't or couldn't let it go that I wasn't drinking and would keep after me to "have just 1". It's hard to keep saying "NO" all the time, especially when you really want to say "yes".
Dont beat yourself up sarahj. Day 1 of not drinking can be the best day of your life. Your choosing to live instead of drinking your life away with nothing but a dismal outcome. Ive been sober over 9 months now and I can honestly tell you that social situations are so much better now. Hang in there. Its a great day for you and us here at sr. Were not drinking today. Thats a good thing!
