Report: Woman died from severe alcohol poisoning

YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A toxicology report says that a woman's death being called accidental by the Yuma County Sheriff's Office resulted from severe alcohol poisoning.

The Yuma Sun reports that 19-year-old Jazmin Serrano's body was found the afternoon of Oct. 27 in the Yuma area.

A toxicology report released by the Sheriff's Office says Serrano had a blood alcohol level of .585 when she died. That's more than seven times the legal driving limit of .08 for adults 21 and older.

Serrano's body was found after a person called 911 after seeing her in a parked vehicle.

Serrano was buried Nov. 1.

I remember when I was arrested for my DUI, one of the officers told me that my blood alcohol content was just short of .3, which is when they automatically send you to the hospital. I can't imagine having a count of .5, nearly .6.

Suki - I can't fathom that high a level, especially in someone so young. I've seen someone at about. 46, but he had a long history and a huge tolerance.
