Candy works

I got into a bad habit ,of buying a 24 oz beer in the evening on the way home from work .

I suspected that would lead me back into a habitual drinking habit again ,
So I got some candy to eat on the way home .

It worked ,AS I suspected ,most drinkers are really attempting to treat low blood sugar .

Well just make sure the sweet food doesn't contain any alcohol in it and yeah I agree it does help. And for me I know I'm not going to get addicted to sweet foods, I get tired of them.

I miss having that mudpie with liquior in it though... I must say... lol. But the thought of that vanishes quickly. But I've gotten buzzed eating the wole conta-- ok sorry I'll stop.

Wait just a minute A couple months ago you swore off sugar (I remember because I did too,and didn't make it). I can't get away from it.
It does beat the hell out of drinking.
But I disagree about drinkers treating low blood sugar. Most of us on this forum drink (or drank) to get drunk.

I am addicted to them things and think there should be a law that they can only be sold one at a time.

in 23 years of drinking, not once did I drink to treat low blood sugar. that would be insane!
if ya wanna find out if theres any truth to that statement about us alcoholics drinking to treat low sugar, start a poll. im sure the results would show the truth.

I have a slight case of hypoglycemia , so it made sense .

Beer gives me energy , But that is of course because its conversion to sugar quickly .

Like I have said before ,im trying to find my way through this thing ,I keep sticking my toes in the water with a little beer ,then say ,,,,,,,nope and back off ,before it gets out of hand ,then a few beers , then whoa ......back off .

Don't drink enough to get hangovers ,or go on those week long binges again .

Just sorting it out .
