Early in recovery I loved a glass of water with a good dose of fresh lemon in it. Loved the tartness, plus the detoxing was great, I'm sure.
I love San Pellegrino sparkling water now....or any sparkling water, really. But San Pellegrino do little bottles of flavoured sparkling that are a little more "adult" and not so sweet and sickly. Nice for a treat.

I am currently drinking decaf coffee. Just finished a peach/pear la croix sparkling water. Finding totally noxious the odor of beer coming from the cans that my raging AH left in the recycle bin. It is almost midnight and I am going to take out the can. Ugh!

I think I need to go decaf also. Don't think caffeine is good for me now I'm sober. Really noticing what too much sugar and caffeine can do to my mood.
Just got the holiday cocktail recipe insert in last Sunday's newspaper and surprisingly did not entice me. Once the Christmas season rolls around I used to light up whenever I saw ads for those chocolate creamy drinks like Bailey's Irish Cream etc.. Like someone mentioned in an earlier post, I haven't replaced my drink with anything as I just wanted to get a good buzz. I do, however, enjoy an assortment of teas I find them soothing and very satisfying..also look forward to my holiday Starbucks coffee drinks. When I am thirsty or out at a restaurant I order water or sparkling water with a wedge of lime. I have been using those almost no calorie flavours you squirt into a glass of water so you can control the sweetness. My fave is strawberry melon.
