Major trigger successfully dealt with
I lost my quit last year during my yearly visit with my old friend and drinking buddy. We see an NFL game once a year and (in years past) spend all weekend drinking. I did a lot of drinking this year too but it was all coffee and water. Not one drop of booze. Took a pic of my drink vs his but don't know if it'll turn out or not. Doesn't matter. All that matters is I dealt with a BIG trigger and it wasn't really all that hard with a little planning. I had lots of snacks and brought my own coffee with me too. Plus I drove my car rather than my motorcycle so I wasn't as tired when I got there
Hope you all are having success in your search for sobriety. I still have Thanksgiving as one last big trigger hurdle looming. Less tan a month until I have my first year under my belt.
Well, my pic seems to be upside down. What's up with that?! LOL

Congratulations - Awesome- it's really hard being around old friends who I used to watch sports with a beer it up! Sounds like you really planned well for yourself by driving rather than biking also.
p.s. that whiskey looks cheap and nasty

Good job handling that! I used to drink that stuff, too; all I can remember is feeling horribly SICK many times because of it......
I'm really getting into the coffee lately, too, loving the cinnamon mocha! And I feel pretty good in the mornings now. This is so much better!
Congrats on almost a year sober!
