Wow 7/28/13 was the last day I had a drink.

Been feeling real antsy this week - need to keep busy. Today I have been romanticizing about the fun things about drinking - I have got to remember the bad parts!!

I too am not looking forward to the holidays and a wedding I must attend; it has been 25 years since I socialized while sober!!

Hey max I can only tell you from my own experience that the boredom like a pair of socks will go away around 6 months. Your mind will focus on other things. Also this social fear of surrounding booze and drinkers will leave you relatively soon. Your body and mind is adjusting to your new life. Its going to smooth out way quicker than what you think. Trust me. Hang in there man.

Thanks WTK.

Today was pretty good.

Took the dogs for a long afternoon walk.

Along the way some drunk guy staggered in front of me with a six pack of beer in a plastic bag. It made me think about beer for 2 seconds. Eventually I saw him get to his destination - his really crappy house. It made me feel sick to my stomach thinking bout him drinking alone by himself in a dark room...didn't look like much of a party.

Got that gross thought out of my head, bought some protein powder, some vitamin supplements, and when home and ate some good chicken.

Screw you alcohol
