Barber comment

This weekend I hit 22 months of sobriety.

I was getting my haircut where I've gone for years, and my barber oddly made the comment "remember that time you came in kinda drunk, you were so funny. I miss that guy."

I was thinking to myself, I don't. She doesn't know I'm sober now.

I distinctly remember that one time, it was embarrassing. And it was in the morning. I needed to drink to get over the anxiety of leaving the house. Apparently I had drank a bit more than usual. And I drove there. I don't miss that at all.

Sorry if I can't be so entertaining to you... I'd rather be alive.

amen to that dotboston.

People who thought I was good value only saw a very very thin sliver of the pie.

The whole Drunken Dee experience was not fun at all.

Four months ago I was running late for a wedding so I started cutting my own hair. I haven't been back to my barber since. I don't miss the place either.

Just saying...

you know i had a few friends make comments like that when they were around me drunk in the past. "hay remember that time you had a few and ......" i think people like that obviously do not have a issue with drinking like i did and have control over there drinking.

Oh of course, they don't "get it".

Usually we didn't "get it" either until thing progressed at the end. Drinking to feel normal is absolutely not normal!
